Can I reuse the same virtual number? No. A number is assigned for a single verification and returns to the pool afterwards. If you need a permanent number on the account, use your own line.
What if Instagram asks me to verify again later? You will not have access to that number any more, so you would need a new one. This is why we recommend adding an email address to the account and setting up app-based two-factor authentication so you are not dependent on SMS.
